Platforms

Sorry ladies... i'm not talking about the cute high heel platforms you wear on a formal date, rather the Platforms of social media. So just to name a few of these platforms so you can have an idea... Facebook, Twitter, flickr, youtube, Instagram, linkden, google+ and many many more!

which of these is my favorite?? Well 2 years ago it used to be Facebook, it dominated the social media world! Now... well its a 3 way tie, but if I had to put them in order it would be the following.

Twitter
Instagram
Facebook

so why this order? Twitter and Instagram are like a mix of Facebook, but I have noticed people are now using Twitter to post there thoughts and ideas and funny quotes and etc now instead of Facebook. People also have been posting pictures on Instagram rather than Facebook. What I personally have noticed I can check my twitter, and instagram then go check my facebook and I tend to find the same information and pictures. so that is my reasoning for the minimal use of FB.

Dont get me wrong facebook is still great, its perfect for being able to communicate with others! something that can be really annoying if done on twitter or even instagram. I love being able to use new kinds of social media and explore what is out there and of how things can be a benefit to us in some where! so go out explore and get familiar with the social media world!

  1. I am totally with you on finding Facebook annoying when you check it after Twitter and find the same stuff. Half the time, I don't even look.

Also the conversations people have on Twitter can get really annoying. I try keep it at a minimum, but sometimes people just don't get it.

  2. Twitter and Instagram would also have to be my favorite social networking platforms. Facebook use to me is also at a minimal and I do usually find the same repeated information on Facebook after being on twitter and Instagram. The nice thing about Facebook for me is when I don't really care to follow someone on twitter but am still their Facebook friend, I can still know what they're up to. I guess Facebook is just getting old and repetitive... I wonder if this will ever happen with twitter.

  3. Ah, the shoe thing got me. Nice one. I agree, that as the different platforms evolve, we find different things that we like/don't like. Why waste time with something ya don't love?! Way to recognize and cut out the redundancy.
